Vantage

Vantage is a guild that was originally created for EverQuest back in 2003, it existed up through the Planes of Power expansion.  It had also existed within World of Warcraft, disbanding at some point within the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

With various MMORPGs played since, Classic WoW seems like the perfect opportunity to get back into a guild atmosphere like we all know from the early to mid 2000s.

More information will be added as we get closer to launch, although the current plan is to roll on the Alliance faction on a PvE server.

Why Alliance? I strictly played Horde up through Cataclysm, and I figure this is a way to put a spin on Classic WoW that will give me some new experiences along with the familiar.

Why PvE? Time has consistently shown that the naivety of the player base during original releases of MMORPGs can never be recaptured.  What was genuine roll-of-the-dice dynamic PvP encounters in 2004 will likely be replaced with sweaty PvP; min/maxed, finely theory crafted, & expertly played squads keeping areas on lock down and ganking for hours.  It’ll never be the same experience that I had in vanilla on a PvP server.  Since Vantage has always been a PvE oriented guild, we’re choosing to focus on that aspect by rolling on a PvE server.
